Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use the BizSource platform or attend a BizSource event.
Draft — publish date not yet set.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, registering for an event, or otherwise using the BizSource platform (bizsourceug.com and related services), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
2. What BizSource is
BizSource is a free, volunteer-run, non-profit community for people working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. We run monthly meetups and one annual event across Serbia, Croatia, and Africa. All sessions, resources, and events are provided free of charge, funded by community effort and sponsor support — BizSource does not sell anything, and the platform does not currently process payments.
If this changes in the future (for example, a paid annual event), these terms will need a proper e-commerce section covering refunds, pricing, payment processor terms, and consumer-protection-law compliance. The platform's database already has placeholder fields for a price and payment status that aren't used yet — that shouldn't quietly go live without updating this document first.
3. Accounts
A few basic expectations apply to every account:
- You must provide accurate information when registering, and keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything that happens under your account.
- You must be 16 or older to create an account.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or the code of conduct in section 4, at our reasonable discretion.
4. Code of conduct
BizSource is committed to being an open, inclusive, harassment-free community, both online and at in-person events. We ask that you:
- Treat other members, speakers, sponsors, and organizers with respect.
- Not harass, discriminate against, or abuse anyone on the basis of any protected characteristic.
- Not use the platform to spam, scrape, or attack other users or our infrastructure.
- Not submit false, misleading, or infringing content through forms (speaker proposals, sponsor interest, feedback, and so on).
5. Event registration and attendance
Registering for an event reserves you a spot, subject to capacity; we may operate a waitlist when an event is full. You'll receive a ticket with a QR code, used to check you in at the event.
Events are free. We may need to reschedule, relocate, or cancel an event. We'll try to give reasonable notice, but as a free volunteer-run event, we can't guarantee compensation for any costs you incur in connection with attending — see the disclaimer in section 8.
Photos are taken at our events and may be posted publicly (for example, on our website or social media), and sessions may be video recorded and published (for example, to our YouTube channel). A notice is given at the venue; if you'd prefer not to appear in photos or recordings, let an organizer know before the session starts.
6. Content you submit
When you submit a speaker proposal, sponsor interest form, feedback, profile information, or anything else through the platform:
- You confirm it's accurate and that you have the right to submit it.
- You grant BizSource a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for the purpose you submitted it for — for example, publishing an accepted speaker's bio and session description on the event page.
- You remain the owner of your own content; we're not claiming it as ours beyond that limited license.
- We may decline or remove any submission at our discretion.
7. Third-party services and links
The platform links to or integrates with third-party services we don't control — social media, sponsor websites, Sessionize (our conference scheduling tool), and Google/Microsoft sign-in. We're not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy practices of those third parties; using them is subject to their own terms.
8. Disclaimers
BizSource is a free, volunteer-run community service, provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible failure, and we don't guarantee any particular outcome from attending an event or session.
This reflects standard practice for a free, volunteer-run community service. As with any legal document, a final legal review before publishing is recommended, since exactly what disclaimers are enforceable varies by jurisdiction.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BizSource, its organizers, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or attendance at an event.
As with section 8, formal legal review is recommended before this is treated as final, since liability caps and exclusions are jurisdiction-sensitive and can be unenforceable if drafted incorrectly.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; we'll update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, where BizSource's primary organizer is based. Any dispute arising from your use of the platform or attendance at a BizSource event will be handled under Serbian jurisdiction.
